Open-air for free, or: how to raise money for an open-air concert without fences and a pay office? - It’s not easy to manage, but it’s works out if all take part.
At first we mention our partners, sponsoring the basic costs of the festival. - Thanks to our partners!
Sharing profit of the drinks which are sold at the beach bar covers another Part of our festival-costs. - Thanks Tanky!
A large part of the costs is covered with the money paid by the bluegrass music fans, who stay in the camp for Pentecost. - Thank you friends!
Furthermore we could gain the support of some enterprises based in Greven, who do a direct support of a band, thus relieving us of a part of the costs necessary for the musicians. - Thank you for sponsoring!
We have to mention the supporters, who like to be unmentioned. Private persons and enterprises based in the region, Thanks to you as well for your generous help!
Last but not least we like to encourage our visitors to buy a supporting button. With just “peanuts” you show >>I’m here, I support this festival!<<
„Many a mickle makes a muckle”, so hurry up and buy your button. The one who has got the most of them will get a Warstein-Six-Pack. - That’s for sure!

Hungry Hill is a contemporary, acoustic bluegrass unit with a focus on original material. Based in northwestern Canada, Hungry Hill features five seasoned musicians with a desire to create a fresh sound while staying true to the roots of bluegrass and old-time music. Lush vocal harmonies resonate from three singers around one microphone in the traditional acoustic setting of old time music. Behind the powerful delivery of voice and instrument is the critically acclaimed song writing of Jenny Lester, Bob Hamilton and Mark Thibeault, Ross Nickerson & Nadine Landry. We are pleased to announce that touring with Hungry Hill is the internationally acclaimed banjo player Ross Nickerson from Baltimore. Please see www.rossnickerson.com for an amazing and complete read. Though the band misses Matt King since his move to the Solomon Islands, we proudly introduce Nadine Landry from Whitehorse on acoustic bass fiddle and heart-melting vocals.

|
Jerry Wayne Johnson was born in Tennessee (USA) and is a skilled guitar and bass player. But most of all he is a virtuoso banjo player and among the blessed musicians who can also sing while playing this instrument. A former Virginia and North-Carolina banjo champion he's proved his mature musical abilities for decades. He is a brilliant traditional and contemporary musician at the same time and his own original compositions are well worth listening to them.
In May 2010 Jerry Wayne Johnson will join forces with the Looping Brothers- a leading brand in European Bluegrass with a long time experience of international touring including the U.S. Fans of Bluegrass Music can look forward to an explosive mixture of traditional sound, skilled artistry, and highly enjoyable entertainment.
