...we are already working at our plans for the 2010 festival. Since about two months the planning group is meeting almost weekly to prepare the next festival.
We are proud to announce that our main sponsors will be with us in 2010. Their future support for the 2010 GrevenGrass Festival makes our planning easier.
The success of the 2009 GrevenGrass festival was a great experience for all of us. It’s a good ‘basement’ for the ‘construction’ of the next festival, we try to keep the GrevenGrass feeling alive.
The GrevenGrass Festival 2010 will take place on Pentecost, 22nd and 23rd of may, 2010. Same town, same location. We meet again in the “Meadows of the river Ems”! - Check your timetable and fix the date!
By now the association “GrevenGrass e.V.” was repositioned. The association electet new ‘chairmen’, the appendix “my bluegrass.de” was deleted.
In the meantime we already registered several requests of bluegrass bands and musicians, who like to perform at the next festival. We’re quite sure to engage an interesting blend of musicians from the (inter)national bluegrass scene for the GrevenGrass festival. We will do our best!
Concerning the membership in the GrevenGrass association some questions occurred. One Question was: “Is there a liability for a genuine member of the association concerning the commercial or finacial situation of the festival?” Olaf (our former head of the association and lawyer) has got the answer: A genuine member is only liable until the amount of his dues for the association is used, not more. The liability concerning the executive board is regulated by german laws. So don’t hesitate, if you like bluegrass music, especially when it is played at GrevenGrass, sign as a member for GrevenGrass e.V. !! (e.V. is a very german kind of association, everything is regulated by law)
If you check this internet domain, will inform you (not periodically but now and then) about the planning of the 2010 GrevenGrass festival.
On the 23rd of August 2009, the association elected a new board. For ‘organisational reasons’ the planning group recommended a board of Greven citizens, the old board recommended the same and so two new executives where elected:
1st executive member: Uli Sokoll 2nd executive member: Friedhelm Meyer Treasuer: Thomas Drunkenmölle
Now the whole executive board is as well member of the planning group, this enables quick reaction when it is needed, especially for the handling of the festival. |
